The Island of Manoka is located off the small fishing port of Youpwé, itself only a few minutes away from Douala. This excursion on the river and then at sea allows for the express discovery of exotic new sceneries and a guaranteed thrill!
Program
Day 1
Embarkation on an motorised dugout canoe [1]. Navigation on the Wouri
river, bordered with tall mangrove trees whose large intermingled roots
form a singular decoration to the peaceful mangrove swamp [2]. Just outside Matanda Massadi, it is the
vastness of the sea which is offered to you [3]! Visit the fishermen village and enjoy a lunch made up of local specialities. Then visit the wild beaches of Manoka and discover the monkeys populating the
island. Ballade towards the point of Souelaba. Dinner of fresh
fish, and night under the tent.
Day 2
Relax after breakfast, then walk to the village of Yoyo [4].
Return to Youpwé.
End of the trip.
